My sister and her husband planned the cutest pink pony birthday party and it was amaaazing! They planned a socially distanced b-day bash right in the backyard.

We waited 6 long years for God to bring my niece into our lives. After many prayers and a long fertility battle, Ivie graced us with her presence. Now that she is here, each moment is a blessing. ❤️ Happy 1st Birthday to this sweetie pie!

How to A Plan Birthday Party During the Pandemic

Keep the Guest List Small

They kept the guest list small with 17 attendees. The guest list included aunts, uncles, grandparents, and children. In total there were 5 children, two sets of siblings, and the birthday girl.

Have the event outside

The CDC states that there is lower risk with smaller outdoor and in-person gatherings in which individuals from different households remain spaced at least 6 feet apart. They recommend everyone wear masks and that no one share objects.

Provide seating arrangements and place families at individual tables

Each family unit had a round table set up for their family. Each family was encouraged to stay at their table and not mingle around with other guests.

Provide masks and hand sanitizer for all guests

They provided guests with disposable medical masks and Sunshine & Lemons hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. You can be safe and smell good too! 🙂

Provide individually packaged food and/or serve guests

Each family table had prepackaged salads and a box of cheese pizza on their table for kids. Adults were served pasta entrees and sliced cake by a host wearing a mask. (wump wump.. I forgot to take photos of the food! I was too busy serving)

Provide fun outdoor activities for guests to partake in individually

What kid doesn’t want to ride a pony? 🙂 They had unicorn pony rides and an animal farm with bunnies and chickens. Children could have balloon animals made and play corn hole with their siblings.

I had more fun with the animals than the kids! 😄😄
